Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights

Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights is a film about an american teenager Katey Miller who moved to Havaa in November 1958 and they were staying in this fancy hotel because her father is an executive of ford expatriated to Cuba and when she is reading by the pool she met the waiter Javier Suarez and when she was at school and she mist her bus and had to walk home and she got lost then she saw Javier dancing in the street and went up to talk to him and he walked her home.

They became friends and one day Javier saw her dancing but it was a different kind of dancing to his and he invited her to a Havana nightclub so she goes with this guy James Phelps and he got really jelouse when he saw Katey dancing with Javier and with how close they were dancing and when they got into his car to go back home he tried it on with her and he ripped the strap on her dress in the process.

She got out of the car and ran back to the club and Javier saw her dress and got really angry that he was going to go and looking for him but Katey stopped him so Javier said he would walk her home but they didn't know that Katey's little sister Susie and her friend seen them and Susie's friend went and told Javier's boss and he got fired for interacting with the guests Katey felt really bad for what happened and felt responsible for it.

She went to see Javier and asked him to enter the Latin Ballroom contest with her so that they could raise money so that Javier and his family could leave Cuba so he agreed and when they are practising all there dance moves they fall in love and Katey and all the Americans were getting kicked out of Cuba so they had one last night at the Havana nightclub with there families before Katey had to leave.

Ella Enchanted

Ella Enchanted is a film about a young girl called Ella played by Anne Hathaway and when she was first born her Godmother Lucinda gave her the gift of obedience so she had to do everything that everyone told her to do and when she was a bit older her mother died but before she died she told Ella that she must never tell anyone about her gift not even her father which was just a good job because he got married to the worst women ever called Dame Olga and she moved in with them with her two daughters Hattie and Olive.

They treated Ella really badly and when they found out about her gift they started to use it against her but it came to the point where she couldn't take it anymore and ran away to find her Godmother Lucinda to get her to take back the gift and along the way she meets some friends like an elf named Slannen and Prince Charmont who Ella didn't really like well at least not to start with but as time went on she starts to fall for him but his uncle is trying to steal the throne from him and he also find out about Ella's gift and orders her to kill Prince Charmont

She doesn't want to so she gets Slannen to tie her to a tree with chains until after midnight but Lucinda turns up and she asks her to take back her gift but she refuses and instead unties her and tells her to go to Prince Charmonts party so she had to then she was about to kill Prince Charmont but then she said that she won't be obedient anymore and her gift was gone but it was to late because she got arrested for trying to kill the prince but Slannen and a couple of giants and ogres turn up and get her out then she told the prince everything then they got married and lived happily ever after.

A Cinderella Story

A Cinderella story is a film about a girl called Sam Montgomery who wanted to live in a fairytale with her dad Hal and it all seemed to be going well until one day her dad thought that she needed a mother and got married to Fiona and she moved in with them with her two daughters Brianna and Gabriella but Sam wasn't that happy about it but she never said anything to her dad.

One night her dad was reading her a bedtime story when a earthquake hit he checked to make sure that Sam was okay then he went to see if Fiona was okay and as soon as he walked out of Sam's room she would never get her fairytale because he died and because no one could find her dad's will everything got left to Fiona and she was really mean to Sam she made her move up to the attic then made Sam her slave.

Sam had to do everything around the house like cooking and cleaning and she made her go to work at her dad's diner then eight years later she was still living with them and she was working all the time but not just because Fiona was making her do it but because she was trying to save up money to go to college to get as far away from them as possible she was planning on going to princeton and she got talking to this guy on the computer called Nomad they were sending emails to each other and sending text messages on there phone.

There was a halloween dance coming up and they arranged to meet there but when she told Fiona about it she wouldn't let her go she made her go to work but with the help of her friends Carter and Rhonda she was able to go and she met with Nomad there and she found out that it was a guy called Austin Ames.

After the dance Sam moved out of her house and moved in with Rhonda and when she went back to get the rest of her things she found her dad's will hidden in the fairytale book that he used to read to her so she called the police and Fiona got arrested and Sam put Rhonda in charge of the diner then Sam and Austin went away to princeton together and they lived happily ever after well at least for now.

Hocus Pocus

Hocus pocus is a film about three sister witches in Salem called Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson who steal the lives of little children so that they can stay young forever one day they kidnapped a little girl called Emily Binx and her brother Thackeray Binx tried to save her but they did there magic on him and they turned him into a black cat then the witches were burnt at the stake.

300 years later on Halloween a virgin called Max Dennison went to there old house with his little sister Dani and a friend from school called Alison and he lit a black flamed candle then the house started to shake and the sisters appeared Max, Alison and Dani managed to escape with the help of Thackeray Binx the black cat and they also stole the witches magic book so that they can't cast anymore spells.

It turns into a cat and mouse chase so they can get there book back because they only came back for one night unless they steal the lives of lots of children they will be gone forever when it gets to sunrise they track them down at the graveyard but witches can't enter the graveyard they are not allowed so they summon one of Winifred's old boyfriends who she killed because she found him in bed with her sister Sarah.

She poisoned him and sewed his mouth shut never to tell a living sole his name was Billy Butcherson but instead of capturing them he help them and it turns into a big fight at the end and the witches realise that the sun is coming up and they get turned to stone then they explode and they are gone forever then Thackeray Binx dies and turns into a ghost and he is reunited with his little sister because he had done what he had been waiting 300 years to do and that was wait for a virgin to light the black flamed candle and the witched to be dead and gone forever.

Happy Feet

Happy feet is a musical animation film about penguins who sing a lot but there is one who can't sing but he does something totally different and tap dances his name is Mumble and when the penguins are old enough they go out looking for food to bring back home with them.

Mumble goes missing and he bumps into different penguins with there voices i think there Spanish or something anyway Mumble gets told that aliens are stealing all there food so Mumble goes back home and tells all the elder penguins what's happening to all of there food but no one believes him and they banish him from home and they say that he can't return until he stops all the lying and dancing so he sets of with his new friends in search of the aliens.

He sees a big boat and swims out to stop them but he gets caught in the net and gets taken to an aquarium i think it was and he starts doing his tap dancing and everyone gathers round to see him then they realise that he is trying to tell them something so they put a tracking device on him and let him go so that they can follow him so when he gets home he tells everyone what had happened with the aliens and they just want to help them.

The elders don't believe him and tells him there's no such things as aliens then they hear something beeping and realise that it is the tracking device on Mumbles back and realise that he is telling the truth so he shows everyone how to tap dance and a helicopter turns up and they realise that they are stealing all there food so everyone decides that fishing in that part of the world is banned now and no one can fish there anymore. This is a really great family film.

Crossroads

Crossroads is a film about three best friends Lucy, Mimi and Kit who grew up together they buried a time capsule and made a packed to dig it up and open it on midnight of there graduation but when they went to high school they were no longer friends.

Lucy was the quiet nerdy type Kit was the popular one and Mimi well she was ended up pregnant but on graduation they kept there packed and went back to dig up there box they couldn't believe what they had buried and what they had wished for Kit put in a bridal barbie doll Lucy put in a chain with a photo of her mother in it and Mimi put in a globe key chain and Mimi said that she was going away to enter a song contest and that she got a lift of some guy called Ben.

She asked if they wanted to go with her but they both said no but the following morning Kit turned up at the car and said that she wasn't going to the contest she wanted dropped of at her fiancée's his name is Dylan then Lucy turned up and said that she wasn't going to the contest either she wanted dropped of at her mum's so they all agreed to go there separate ways when they got there but when they were doing all that travelling in a car something must have happened because they were all getting closer and it felt like old times.

One night they were sitting talking and Kit asked Mimi who the father of her baby was so she told them that she got pregnant by being raped and that she wasn't keeping it she was getting it adopted and they made a promise to be friends forever then the next day Lucy ended up at her mum's but it didn't go to well her mum didn't want to know her so she caught up with Kit, Mimi and Ben back at the hotel lucy had started getting really close to Ben by this time then they all went to the contest after Kit went to see her fiancée.

It was then that she realized not to trust him and found out that he was cheating on her and that he was the one that raped Mimi so they broke up Mimi lost her baby by falling down the stairs Lucy phoned her dad and he came to pick them up but she couldn't leave she wanted to stay with Ben and go to the contest so she did just that then they buried another time capsule on the beach but this time they never made a packed to dig it up.

Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a film about two best friends called Claire and Hailey they grew up together and went everywhere together then all of a sudden Hailey's mother got a new job somewhere else so she has to move soon so they tried to figure out a way that Hailey would be able to stay but they are not having much luck with it.

Until one night there was a big rain storm and when they woke up the next morning and went outside there pool was full of water but that's not all that they found they were standing at one side of the pool and at the other end of the pool say saw a fin coming out of the water they thought that it might have been a fish but as it came closer to them they realized that it was a women at first they didn't believe what they were seeing but it turned out that they were right but it wasn't just a women she was a mermaid.

Her name was Aquamarine but they called her Aqua she didn't know anything about humans she didn't even know what feet where or what dancing was when she came out of the water and dried her fin the fin would disappear and she would get legs but she didn't know how to use them at first but she started to get the hang of it then she explained how she swam away from home so that she could find a man to fall in love with her and if she could do that in a certain amount of time she would become human forever.

she said to Claire and Hailey that if they helped her she would grant them one wish so they agreed to help her as they were going to use there wish so that Hailey could stay but Aqua didn't get someone to fall in love with her in that time she found a guy that really liked her but did not love her so then the girls didn't get there wish so they got split up and Hailey had no choice to leave and go with her mum. This is a great film for the whole family to watch.
